No.
Can Adoptive Parents Advertise to Find Expectant Parents?
Yes. The use of advertisements is not addressed in Washington, DC law.
Does Washington, DC Allow the Use of Facilitators?
No.
How Long Before Adoption Can Be Finalized?
6 months.
Which Expectant Mother Expenses Can Be Paid by the Adoptive Parents?
Medical expenses may be paid. Legal, counseling, and reasonable living expenses may also be paid.
Can Out of State Residents Finalize in Washington, DC?
Yes, if they use an agency licensed in Washington, DC.
Does Washington, DC Allow for Enforceable Open Adoption Agreements?
No. Open adoption agreements are not discussed in Washington, DC law.
