Your Child’s Story
Saturday May 2 is National Scrapbooking Day. If you're not a scrapbooking-type, you probably didn't know that. If you're not a scrapbooking-type, you might also think that you couldn't possibly create a book that tells your child's story.
I am a scrapbooking-type. I started scrapbooking in 1999 thanks to my Aunt Carol. When I got married in 2002, I created my first gift scrapbooks. After that, there was no turning back. I'm not as fancy as some of the scrapbookers you see in magazines, but I do enjoy paper, pens, and adhesive. Worth So Much More Than 1000 Words
April 1st wasn't just April Fool's Day. It was also my grandfather's birthday. It would have been his 85th. My grandfather died 18 days before Jack, his ninth great-grandchild, was born. As my family is spread out across the US, Jack would have been the only local great-grandchild for him. I regret that my grandfather never got to know Jack. I regret that my son will never know the wonderful, kind, wise man who was my grandpa.
