The Night You Were Born
One of the books I always give to newly adoptive families is Jamie Lee Curtis' Tell Me Again About the Night I Was Born. It is such a sweet story of a mother telling her child a bedtime story about her birth, and the night the couple got the phone call and then got to trek across the country to greet and gather up the newest member of their family.

Today is Earth Day! I'm taking a break from our series on Adopting In the United States to write about one environmental issue that is important to me.
You may have heard about BPA - bisphenol-A, a hormone disruptor that occurs in some (perhaps most) plastics. I wrote about BPA last year. Since then, research has showed that it's likely more prevalent than we thought, and may also be more dangerous than we thought.
